Updating the courses "Golfplätze aktualisieren" Step 2 of 2 (preparing) is at this step since 1h with 100% CPU. What to do?
If the update is showing stuck and not progressing in the Garmin Express program window, check and make sure your watch is still showing the charging % screen that is locked when connected to a computer and being read as a device drive.
Otherwise, close out of the Express program and then re-launch Express. Ensure your Approach S62 is showing connected upon re-opening Express, and see if updates are showing available once again. If you are seeing the "Updates Available, install now" ...you will need to prompt them to install once again.
If Express is showing, "You're up to date" then close the program, safely eject your watch, and take the watch outside to start a round of golf to make sure the watch is pulling nearby courses. Upon disconnecting your watch from the computer, check and make sure no alerts are showing on the S62 display like, "Can't unlock maps" ...or "Maps Missing"...as maps will need to be reinstalled through Garmin Express, if you are seeing those alerts are showing.
It could be that the update completed...and then for some reason the Express program froze up in the last part of the update for some reason. This could happen due to interruptions occurring outside of Express on your computer, or if the connection from the watch to the computer disconnected during the update. It is important to leave the watch sitting completely still, without moving it around when installing the updates.
thx for answer. After 3h I killed Garmin Express in the task-manager as I needed my computer for other important things. The watch seems to run normal. I'll give it a try again today, when I finished my work and let you know the result.
after 8min the update finished in the second try. Probably I should not have started Diablo4 during the update yesterday ;-)
