Does anyone know, if the tags are offline, when lying (in bag on backseat of my car)? It wouldn't like to change batteries every month :-)

yes it works for me. Clubs are in a bag lying in the trunk. I guess it has to be dark in there...
It should be, deep down in that bag, even as it's white :-) Thx
The sensors wake up when exposed to light. Just make sure the temperature is not hot when storing, as that will decrease the useful life of most batteries.
If you are located in a region where current temperatures are averaging 19°C/65°F...the sensors stored in a vehicle should be fine :)
Heat waves where it's been 35°C/95°F and higher... like some regions in the US have been experiencing lately...storing in a vehicle would not be ideal for battery preservation of the disposable CR2032 coin cell batteries in the sensors.
