How do I get the S62 to show wind data when paired to Google Pixel 7 Pro?

I have my S62 linked to my Google Pixel 7 Pro but cannot get any wind data on the S62, instead getting an error message asking me to open Garmin app on my phone?

I play with my phone in my bag, always starting my rounds of golf from the S62 only, not having to touch or interact with my phone at all.

What steps do I need to follow (step by step) to be able to see and benefit from the wind data on S62?

The S62 must be actively paired and synced with the Garmin Golf app, and in Bluetooth range throughout the round, when selecting the Golf option at the actual course.

The Viewing Wind Information with the Approach S62 Garmin Support page shows more details on using the Wind/Speed direction features on the S62 during rounds of golf as well for reference if needed.

I have the same phone and the same problem. With my old Samsung phone, I did not have to manually start the Garmin app to have my watch pickup wind data.
