Approach S62 charging

For the last 6 months my Garmin Approach S62 watch has been difficult to charge as a small metal O-ring inside the watch's charging port popped out. The O-ring won't stay in the watch but is able to stay on the charging cable.

It has got to the stage where the watch is next to impossible to charge now. The cable and watch will just not stay together.

I don't know why you'd think that little O-ring inside the watch charging port would be a good idea but .........

Anyway, is there any way to charge a Garmin watch, in this case the Approach S62, wirelessly?

    If the hardware for the charging port on your watch has damage, or the components in the charging port appear loose...you would need to contact Garmin Support to go over the concern, and to discuss solutions. 

    Qi wireless charging is not supported on the Approach S62, and based on the concern you described, a repair solution may be needed for that specific issue.

    G'day Cody,

    As I mentioned, there's an O-ring or clip in the watch charging port that comes out and sticks to the inside of the charging cable port. So the cable does not stay in the watch.

    There is not a part we classify as an O-ring, nor any part that is removable from the charging port hardware. Garmin Support would need to be contacted by you to discuss solutions.

    But there is. It's in my son's Garmin and his stays in the watch. It is a small metal rectangular shaped ring around the 4 x copper charge points that has 4 x raised points that clip into 4 x small holes in the watch. It shouldn't come out BUT IT HAS!!!!!! If you want me to get it out of the charging cable, which grabs it and takes it out of my watch, and send you a photo of it then let me know where I can send it.
