S62 - GPS taking forever to connect

All of a sudden my S62 is taking an extremely long time to connect to a satellite. I've had the watch for years, and it normally only takes a minute or 2. The last few days has been muuuuuch longer. To give you an idea, I was finishing up on hole 2 today before it started working. What gives?

Make sure to open the Garmin Golf app on your phone, and select the sync option in the Garmin Devices menu next to the watch shown in that menu.

Once a full sync has been completed, start a round of golf on the S62 making sure that the sky is directly above you outside, when you are at the course and it should locate satellites faster.

This hasn't helped at all. Every round, no matter what I do, takes forever to connect. If I it on at the start of a round I'm usually finishing up the first hole, or onto the 2nd hole before it starts working. Still frustrating.

You should also check and make sure the About section is not showing EPO CPE: Expired. Your watch needs to have up to date satellite data.

My recommendation is to contact Garmin Support since you may need to discuss your issue in a longer format.
