Jumbomax STR8 Grips and CT10 sensors?

Hello forums,

I found the Jumbomax STR8 Grips and their website says, that the come with an embedded sensor mount for Arcos / Cobra Connect. It’s really hard to find some detailed pictures of the mount, but the Arcos Sensors that I know are pretty much the same size as out CT10. So, did anybody already try the Jumbomax grips with out CT10 sensors? Does it work?

  • Looking at the product page on the brand site for those grips, the end of the grip where the included sensor attaches features a specialized design for that specific sensor they include with the grip.

Based on the visual of that grip without the sensor inserted, it does not appear the CT10 sensor threaded screw mount design will be compatible with securing a CT10 sensor properly to that grip end design. The sensor that company is including has a smaller circumference compared to the CT10 sensors. The CT10 sensors are designed to fit plush with the outer edge of where the grip ends.

The CT10 is designed to mount to a conventional air release hole that has the standardized smaller opening featured on the majority of club grips offered in the golf industry.

Similar to putter grips that offer a counterweight integrated into the end where the Garmin CT10 sensor would attach to normally.

You might ask that grip company if they have any inserts for where that other sensor fits into to see if it is possible for a shop pro to plug the sensor cutout, to allow secure connection of the CT10 to the end of the grip.
