S62 Battery disconnected?

Hi,

I Have been using my Approach S62 for a bit more than a year, the battery holding reasonably well.

A couple of days ago it suddenly went off… no more light, front or back…

When I try to charge it the screen shows the triangle, and after few seconds the “100%” green screen as if the battery was fully charged. I tried to connect it to my computer with Garmin Express, same thing. Garmin express recognizes the device, able to update and sync the data…

BUT as soon as I disconnect it from the charger or computer everything goes black, like when the battery is fully empty.

Anybody faced the same issue ?

I reported the problem on line yesterday, will hopefully get a reply quickly.

I am currently traveling so no chance to go to a Garmin service center.
