Hi I have recently bought a S62 gps watch.
I detect that watch app and mobile app are not showing hole Handicap. I can see hole par but no HCP.
Is there any way to activate it? Thanks in advance

I presume you mean the Stroke index of each hole? The watch doesn't display that piece of info.
However if you enter your handicap into the watch, it will tell you how many additional strokes you are allowed on each hole. This is done by showing a series of dots under the "Par" rating at the top of the screen
But unfortunately the watch often does not calculate the playing handicap correctly so the additional strokes are incorrect.
Have you set on your watch before the round by Setting Local Handicap. I only ask as I've not noticed this issue and this past months played 5 different courses.
No, I don't set the local handicap on my watch. I use stroke index scoring. And I don't want to set the local ha dicap for each round, that is way to much hassle for a €400 golf watch...
@keezinator - what number are you using then for your Stroke Index? Do the dots mentioned above show up on the correct holes? If not, you might want to send a copy of the course scorecard with stroke allowance and tees into Garmin so they can update your course's info.
My problem is not so much that the dots are on the wrong holes, but that the total number of dots is incorrect. So the total number of stableford points will be under estimated at the end of my round. When I later update the playing handicap of the scorecard in the Garmin Golf app, the points are calculated correctly. Most of the time, because yesterday, I also ran into an issue that the stableford points are calculated incorrectly. See the attached scorecard...
Sounds like the Garmin course definition is wrong then so I suggest sending a copy of the scorecard and various hole ratings off to Garmin. My home course has just completed and official Golf Canada rerating, so I will be doing the same and submitting our official scorecard off to Garmin. No idea how long it takes Garmin to make and release updates though
Yeah. I guess so. Is there any way to find out the course and slope ratings as Garmin has them in their database? I can easily check a couple of courses I play and send them an update if they are wrong...
Sorry don't know. My home course has been working correctly. Our rerating switches 2 holes for stroke allocation so I submitted an update request to Garmin a few minutes ago.
I used this link for my request - you could try your questions via the same one I guess
