Approach S62 Will Not Connect to Garmin ConnectIQ

I just bought an Approach S62. I have connected it to my iPhone 12 and all seems well except for the ConnectIQ. That app will not show the watch is connected and I am unable to do anything with the watch face. I have now spent about 4 hours following different related posts with no luck. I am frustrated and will soon return this watch as honestly, I was expecting something far superior to this, especially given the price point. When I connect to the app and try and pair the device it says it's not found but I am left with no other option. If I choose to select a device (like I can choose manually) the next screen has no options other than customer support. This brings me to the forums. Seriously it's like a phone message tree with Frontier TV. I love the looks of the watch and it's great for a golf game but honestly what's up with the apps? HELP HELP HELP.

  • I am sorry it has been an issue getting your new Approach S62 to Bluetooth pair to your Connect IQ APP. Given you have likely tried most every troubleshooting step at this point, I recommend pulling out all the stops.

    1) Remove your Approach S62 from your smartphone's Settings > Bluetooth menu

    2) Delete all Garmin APPS off your phone

    3) Install the Golf APP first and Bluetooth pair your watch through the Golf APP first

    4) Install the Connect Mobile APP and Bluetooth pair your watch through it

    5) Install the Connect IQ APP and Bluetooth pair your watch through it

    I hope you are successful.

  • Seriously I have a full time job and my second job has been trying to get this POS watch to talk to a phone. These instructions don’t work. I have turned off uninstalled reinstalled unpaired repaired blah blah blah. Seriously Garmin employs smart people and this can’t be this challenging. Anyone else have a thought?

  • My sincere apologies your issue has continued. To ensure there is not a bigger issue since we have not had any other reports worldwide from our Approach S62 owners, I just tested my own Approach S62 and I was able to Bluetooth pair through the Golf APP, Connect Mobile APP, and the Connect IQ APP. It is frustrating that you have not been able to get your watch and the Connect IQ APP to speak with each other.

    Please ensure you have fully updated your Approach S62 software using Garmin Express on your computer. If already updated and you continue to have an issue, please contact Golf Product Support as soon as you can using the information at the bottom of the support center article for Garmin Express. We will be happy to work with you further to resolve your issue.

  • This is a on going problem many for S62 owners.I just do not understand why Garmin is not doing anything about it???This problem was reported more than a year ago.
    Garmin should be seriously looking to resolve this software issue with an update..

    I bought my S62 2 days ago and I have been spending many hours installing, uninstall, pairing and unpairing as per your instruction.. Many wasted hours unable to resolve the issue.
    Connect IQ shows my device S62 But was  its NOT CONNECTED.. As such I am Unable to download from IQ Store.
