If you have the sensors, you no longer have to manually add your shot each time you hit a club. The sensors pick up that you hit your shot from wherever you did it, and then when you hit your next shot, calculates the distance you that you hit your first shot from. If you don't need to look at your watch for yardages on that hole, then you only need to look at your watch after you complete that hole to confirm you had 5 shots on that par 5, rather than having to touch your watch after every shot and tell it what club you hit, etc.
In addition to the first comment, the advantage I can see with CT10 sensors and S62 is for registering chipping and putting. The S62 does not register these shot distances because it doesn't pick up the hit. I'm likely going to add CT10 sensors to my putter, lob wedge and sand wedge (3-pack) to see how that works with putting and chipping distances in the app.
For me, I'm good with selecting the club after every hit and developing muscle memory to do it automatically after ever hit. So CT10 sensors on all clubs just to prevent entering the club used is not worth it for me.
I assume you want to do that for stat tracking of chips and putts, but you will find that the worst flaw in the S62 set up is that it's very difficult for the S62 to pinpoint exactly where the pin is on the green. There is no button you can click to let the system know you just holed your putt in this exact spot. In reality, it only knows where you holed your last putt from. That might be a 6 inch gimme, or it might be a 25 footer. Because of that, the chipping and putting stats are VERY generalized and not really accurate.
Thank you for that, and I was aware of the pin accuracy has the ability to completely throw off the stat tracking for chips and putts. Since the 3-pack CT10 sensors is not a huge investment I might still pick them up if anything because I like the tinker with tech and try it out.
