Even after turning scoring off [Settings > Golf Settings > Scoring] I continue to get the score prompt after each hole.
Even after turning scoring off [Settings > Golf Settings > Scoring] I continue to get the score prompt after each hole.
Please try to reset the default settings on your watch to see if that resolves this issue.
I found the only way to turn off the score prompt is to disable Bluetooth on your smartphone. Then, after the round, you switch it on again and you can view some statistics in your Golf App, if not per-hole data.
I have the same issue. I have set all the golf options to off except for record activities. In particular "scoring" is off, if this option doesn't control it what does it do?. I don't want to reset the watch as it will reset all the non golf options I have carefully fine tuned!
Resetting the default settings appears to have taken care of the issue. Thank you!
Thanks. I will keep that in consideration. After resetting the default settings, I can enable and disable the score prompt after each hole. However, I have not yet played a round while syncing with the Garmin golf app on my phone. I have a feeling that may be what is causing the problem. I will soon find out.
Unfortunately, a reset of default settings, as suggested by Garmin-Rob, seems to be the only way to disable the scoring prompt.
Well, I played a round tonight. Even though Scoring was disabled, I still got the score prompt after each hole. Besides resetting the default settings each time, I guess I'll have to live with it. This is freaking annoying!
I'd like to look into this further. I am sending each of you a private message to gather additional details.
This should be a simple fix, if you select "No" to scoring then don't prompt. A friend of mine has the S40 and it has the same issue. There are times I don't want to keep score and its a pain to enter the info after each hole. From a software standpoint this should be an easy fix.
Hi, I'm having the same problem, unable to stop scoring, even if there should be no scoring, no stats no record no club sensor and after having done a total reset. Should I return the watch to the garmin for a readjustement or do you have a online page to correct ???
