Subscription needed for decent Golf data?

Maybe this is what is needed.

Garmin needs to go the route of subscription to see more advanced golf statistics.

Maybe watch users would consider a subscription if the data was at least as good as Arccos. I think I would be willing to pay an annual fee IF I got at least what I see in Arccos.

Seems like unless there is a flow of money coming in, Garmin won't spend an anything on resources to improve current golf data and its presentation to users.

  • The Garmin watch and CT10 setup is by far the most expensive system out of the box. They won't get much from a subscription on top of that. This coming from a big Garmin fan too. They basically have this year to clean up their phone and web interface for golf or I'll just go get Shot Scope and use that most likely next year.

  • Garmin falling way behind the competition when it comes to the data and stats produced. Seriously considering a move to shotscope unless Garmin gets finger out

  • Agree. I've been using Garmin golf watches off and on since 2018. S20 and S62 now. In that almost 4 years, I have seen zero improvements in the golf data displayed on the Garmin site. I don't even think one thing as actually changed. Maybe others noticed some improvements and can provide details.

Certainly no clear log files to say what is been done so you can look back over the years. If someone was proud of their work and improvements, that would be clear and front and center in forums, etc. That tells you how proud Garmin is of their work on the golf aspects of the site.

I do feel for the moderators in this forum. They must be sick of saying "Great idea. We are sending it to the developers or engineers. I will add you to the list so you can be notified when things are done". Just empty promises after 4 years.
