Notifications - Yet Again !!!

I know 'notifications' are a major issue and have been for a long while with STILL no fix by Garmin , but can can someone explain why they work for 4 days with no issues , then all of a sudden they DON'T !! Nothing changed to watch or phone, not switched off either watch or phone .... no reason what so ever !!! Everything else working and connecting eg via Connect App ref health / heart rate / steps etc

I experienced same problem. Worked for a couple days and then stopped. then began working and stopped again mid-day yesterday and still none received today. very, very frustrating Garmin....are you listening?????

Ageee ...this is getting beyond a joke yet Garmin seem to be ignoring the issue as it’s gone on far too long . May I suggest Garmin sack their software developers and recruit from a local high school !!

As a fix for now , I ‘ forced stopped’ both the Golf and Connect apps which seemed to fix the notifications issue ......till the next time !!!!

Yes mate, on the phone . Go into the apps in ‘ settings ‘ , go to the Connect app and force stop , then same with the Golf app .

..Other times I’ve disabled / re enabled Bluetooth on phone , or put into / out of Flight mode

it was suggested on a thread on here to try the force stop too so I tried this today .

Just annoying with this issue in you don’t know if watch is working or not till you find a notification on phone which didn’t get notified on watch !!! Hence miss calls , texts , etc ..

Got it. I also forced stopped Connect IQ. Will try bluetooth reset now. Will keep you posted.

I didn’t need to disable / re enable Bluetooth after ‘ force stop ‘ . It was what I did previous when had these issues

Happy to help ...only know as I’ve had this issue and been on this forum for help etc .. It’s the fact Garmin know of this issue yet a fix doesn’t seem to be a priority !!

Here's what I've noticed over the last two days and it has happened twice today already. I force stop Connect and I turn off bluetooth and then back on and reconnect to the watch. Notifications work great. Then i leave my phone on my desk and walk about the house. When i get back, notifications no longer work. I go through the sequence again, and they work immediately. Not sure if this is how you notice it but seems to be when phone and watch are not in close proximity to each other.

Hi Tim , sounds like a Bluetooth connection issue for yours ?? But mine was random ... sometimes when the watch was switched off and back on ( say overnight ) , or just for no reason at times ! The last occasion on Sunday was after I used the golf app and later checking scores etc on it ... Switching off/ on the Bluetooth or flight mode usually fixed it , it lately the force stop does the trick ...
