Club tracking of all shots with club, example 8i chips around the green messing up club stats.

Had the S62 and golf tags for about 6 months. Couple of questions

The club distance tracking, does this include all shots, like an 8i around the green. I use this shot a lot and it looks like it adds this in because my 8i is less yardage than my 9. The software should know this a discard this type of shot?

Also I find the performance center in the app confusing and poorly setup, anyone else?

In general for the watch and the tags being x2 more than other systems which seem better, I feel disappointed in the Garmin tags and the app used with them.

I just have a CT10 on my putter so that when I walk off the green the score prompt is generally correct. The added benefit is that the watch prompts me for what club I used after each shot; then I just press the bottom right button for shots I don't want included in my stats.

Never thought of not telling it which club I used to exclude it from stats.. Great tip!

Good idea, but the idea of the tags is to take away the messing around selecting the club and it’s more automated. A friend uses shot scope and it’s seems to be a better system for a lot less money.

I agree that it is not ideal. Being able to manipulate the data in Garmin connect would solve a lot of the issues. For instance, being able to filter out shots over, or under, a given distance for a club or being able to filter by date would result in more meaningful data.

It feels like Garmin have given up on the app, not sure why there isn’t a decent scorecard you can view at the end of the round as well.

Create a new club (chip), assign it to 8 iron, and use it for these short, greenside chips. I use this same method for chipping out from trees. Club performance will show both your 8 iron and chip separately

How would this work, because my 8i has a tag on it I can’t then use this against another cloud (chip) ?

Same here it doesn’t make sense that we cannot edit the shots for distance measures. Garmin please answer!

Can Garmin confirm that they just disregard this feedback constantly and have given up on the poxy app?

Agreed, this is a simple statistical function that could easily be incorporated and would allow the one offs to be statistically ruled out of that clubs stats. Would be most helpful.
