Add AW (Approach Wedge) to list of clubs

You can't be serious. Have you even read the posts? 

There is not one Club between the Pitching Wedge and the Sand Wedge but two. I really don't care what you call them. But there is more than one Club between them. And there is no way to enter that in the Garmin App.

Same if you use a second lob wedge 60 and 64 degrees. No way to enter that in the app.

If you don't want to upset your Customers and make them angry then read the messages before posting such a *** answer that obviously shows you haven't read our messages and also did not try to understand the problem.

The problem is, as mentioned several times I believe, that many of us uses 2 wedges between PW and SW.

Yes, I can choose PW for my 48 degree wedge, then I end up with 2 clubs in my bag that are PW. So when the watch caddy suggest PW, which one does it mean?

My regular 43 deg PW, or my 48 deg PW? Whatever You call it, the caddy uses the default name, and only that.

Yes, I could assign my 48 degree as GW, but I already have one of those as a 50 degree. Same problem.

If You could only understand the problem and assign a new club in the bag called AW, then all problems solved. Instead of arguments that solves nothing.

Well, almost everything. Some uses 64 degree lw also, and they end up with 2 lob wedges if they also use a 60 deg. Mayne solution for that would be to add a lob wedge 2.

To summarize, the issue is to not end up with 2 clubs in the bag allocaed to the same club type. You would not use 2 x 9-irons in Your bag, and I don't like 2 x PW in my bag as I only have one.

Again: How many different wedges are offered in the App that can be shown as seperate wedges by the virtual caddie?

The answer is four.                        Becaus the virtual caddie only shows the orignial name and not the name you give the club.

How many different wedges are used by the people here?

The answer is five or six. 

Nobody is talking lofts or names. That doesn't matter. What matters is the maximum amount of wedges.

And yes I can create a second GW in the app but then I don't know which one is meant by the virtual caddie. If that would be a viable solution then why have more than one club at all

 that you will then dublicate and rename. Because it's not working with the virtual caddie. No solution at all.

Again I don't care about names. I don't care about lofts. I do care about the amount of different wedges that can be used in virtual caddie.

I can't see why anyone suggesting an issue can't rename the clubs in the club list. I've got 5 named as PW, 50 deg, 54 deg, Bunker and another one masking as chip shots. The loft is irrelevant as Garmin just knows how far each name travels on average and also wedges are the one club which is used in half or 3/4 swings. 

The averages are out just due to me missing a swing somewhere but I know a full swing with each is 125yds/100/80/60.

Because in your case if the virtual caddie on the watch says LW you don't know which of the two you should use. Might be a no brainer for you as you seem to use one just for the bunker and both travel the same distance.

For me it looks like that:

PW  129 Meters    in Garmin a Pitching Wedge

AW  116 Meters    in Garmin a Gap Wedge

52°  101 Meters   in Garmin a Gap Wedge

56°  78 Meters      in Garmin a Sand Wedge

60°  65 Meters      in Garmin a Lob Wedge

At the Moment both the AW and the 52° are a GW in Garmin. And if the virtual caddie says GW I have no idea if I should use my AW or my 52°. The virtual caddie can't use the names you give the clubs but just show GW in my case.

And sure I know my distances but the virtual caddie also takes slope and wind into account. And wind is a huge factor when using the wedges...

I can see your point about the virtual caddy display, whilst I might scan that occasionally off the green for the percentage options, I think around the green it becomes less useful. The risks of thinning full 60 shot instead of chipping an AW, 52 or even an 8 iron chip probably make the virtual caddy misleading when you start using wedges. Only my opinion but worth considering.

Instead of Just SW, LW, GW, AW could we also have numbers for Virtual Caddie?  52, 56, 60, 64, etc.  I am not to sure when i use Ping LW, SW, PW, and cleveland 56, 60, 64.  All at different yardages currently in my bag.  I would like to name them as such and use the virtual caddie feature.  This is the main reason i see no need to upgrade to an S70 if i cant properly name clubs.

It's honestly sad the lack of customer service Garmin has provided on this issue... It would be a relatively easy fix and I've seen way more Approach Wedges in bags than I have a 25 Wood (which is an actual option)

Point being... they have the capability to do it... They added a variety of woods and hybrids to their list that I have never seen in my life on the course (25 Wood?! LW Hybrid?!). Meanwhile I would wager at least 2 players you'd play with in a completely random foursome would have an Approach Wedge...
