Add AW (Approach Wedge) to list of clubs

Please, is it possible to add AW (Approach Wedge) to list of clubs?

Callaway APEX 21

Thanks

  • 4 months and still nothing. I’m so disappointed in garmin, making hard coded non flexible crap.

  • Really disappointing, same here it is very simple. All manufacturers have their own irons with their own angles as i mention in my previous comment. I am using Honma and i have 10 iron with 43 loft, how to pair this no idea ? I have also 48, 52, 56 and 60 which i have registered them as PW, GW, SW and LW.

Similar and good example also above 7Wood where it goes ? Someone from Garmin says revise the name so what about the loft which Garmin doesn’t allow to touch.

It is software issue and simple to solve and i have a feeling that they don’t want to solve it :(((((((((((

    Lets just forget it…

  • I'm raising this ticket again because its been months and the thread has gone cold. I have the exact same issue with my set of Sim 2 Max Irons, where the lofts are almost completely off by one or two clubs in the Garmin app. In some cases I've even had to list Irons as hybrids.

I recently purchased an s62 and c10 setup and wouldn't have had I realized this was the case. And its all the more irritating given that it is seemingly a simple (and necessary for new clubs) fix.

  • Hella michael I do need the aw club choice as well

  • +1

Can we just have the ability to label the degree of loft and choose the label (e.g. SW, LW, GW, AW, PW, etc.) that we want.   For example, I use my 60 degree as my sand wedge. I'd prefer to see that as SW.  I have 58 (LW) and 54 (GW) degree gap wedges, my TM P790s has an AW, PW, up to 4 iron.

Or more simply - change the label  on the wedges to be the loft of the club - as the primary label field.

    Thanks!

  • I'd like to see AW added as well.  Blows my mind that I can a 11-25 Wood and a PW, GW, SW and LW HYBRID (whatever those are) and they seem to have missed adding an AW, which is suprising given all the manufacturers who know label wedges as such.

  • Seriously, I don't think anyone of the Garmin sw developers actually plays golf.

  • Touché. I would think it’d be easy to rename one of those Woods that were part of the last release.

  • Not really.

When the new clubs were released I was joyful that I could now finally choose a 7-wood that I actually have and remove the 5 wood I don't have.

Not working as it should, as the 7 wood come last on my S62 list, after lob wedge.

Causing all sorts of issues fir those using CT10.

So if You choose a wood for Your AW, it will come in front of Your irons. And although it would give me a smile when the virtual caddy suggest a 25 wood for my 100 yds shot, it's only funny for a while.

Garmin should do something with their club selection, and why use loft as an indication when the loft they suggesrs are 10 yrs old and not correct for most new clubs on the market?

Which again leads me to the concludion in my last post.

  • Really??? Is it so hard to add AW (Approach Wedge) to the list of clubs?
The ticket is open more than 2 years.
    Disappointed
