Add AW (Approach Wedge) to list of clubs

It’s the Gap Wedge in Garmin golf. Gap wedge is a common name for the club between the pitching and sand wedges

My Lob Wedge is 60 degrees

My Sand Wedge is 56 degrees

My Gap Wedge is 52 degrees

My Approach Wedge is 48 degrees

My Pitching Wedgeis 43 degrees

That is why I would like to have AW in my list of clubs

Damn, that’s a lot of wedges. I think I’m jealous lol. I go 58 to 54 to 49 to 44 pitching wedge. 

I have the exact same issue! And as Irons get more strong lofted more people will have this.

My PW is also 43 degrees. Then i have a 48 wedge, 52, 56,60. I had to register everthing 1 club down, which is quite confusing. So I registered my 48 as PW in the app, my PW as 9 iron, my 9 Iron as an 8 iron etc..
That allowed me to set the 52 as GW, 56 as SW and 60 as LW. This is however not ideal at all. And I to would love to see an AW selection. As a matter of fact, you should be able to add a totally custom club with the abbreviation of choice. Look at other apps such as Golfshot, this is not an issue there.

While this feature is considered/implemented, which by judging from other feature requests can take at least a year. What du you suggest is the best way to work around this limitation:

I'm waiting for my final two wedges to be delivered, and when I get them My bag will look as following:
Driver, 3w, 3hyb, 5i, 6i, 7i, 8i, 9i, PW(43), W(48), W(52), W(56), W(60), Putter.

With the current ability to setup clabs within the Garmin system, how should I go about and add the above setup?

You can rename a club, for example you can choose a 5 wood from the list and then rename it a 7 wood. 

You will still be able to see the original club name in the AutoShot data and both club names when looking at the club averages however.

Yes I know, but the Caddy on the S62 will always show the original name, not my custom. Also When viewing your shots for a specific hole it always show the original name.

So If I would add a 7 wood and rename it to 48 Wedge, the Caddy will prompt med to use a 7 wood on close approach shots, it will also list the 7 wood when viewing all shots on a hole..

Correct, which is why it's definitely not ideal to rename it. We are hoping that we can give you guys the ability to flat out create a club and also add more club options to the list, such as the 7 Wood.
