I have a new Garmin S62. The heart rate and step sensor have only worked for about 5 minutes. Did a full reset, worked for 30 secs then shut off again. Have latest software, multiple resets. Very frustrating for a high $ watch

Appears that Activity Tracker Menu does not dislay on watch. Any ideas how this can be recovered? Are there any settings in Garmin Connect that would effect this?
I am sorry your new Approach S62 is not working correctly. Although very rare and the watch is tested in production after being built, both the issues you are reporting suggest hardware failure of the OHR sensor and the accelerometer picking up your steps with your arm swing. I 100% agree. Both issues are incredibly frustrating and should not be an issue for you.
Given you have fully updated your software and also fully reset the watch, if either hardware issue continues, please return your watch as defective to receive a new one from the retail/online store point of purchase.
Regarding activity tracking, on the main watch face, if you swipe up across your display, it will take you into your widgets for a breakdown summary of you metrics for the day. You can then touch the individual metric for more detailed information.
