Not Receiving Text Messages

Hi, I just bought an Approach s62. I am getting phone calls, group me, gmail, etc... But not receiving any text messages or imessages. I have tried reading all these threads and nothing has worked so far.

  • I just received my S62 this week and am having the same problem described here. All other notifications coming from my iPhone show up on the watch, but iMessages and it seems text messages too are not. Would appreciate some support to get this resolved.

    95% of the time, every customer I work with, regardless of what Outdoor watch owned, that has an incoming text message issue only to their watch, it is directly related to their iPhone Notifications menu settings.

    Your watch is passive and does not pull anything from your phone. It only sends data to your phone. In a scenario where your watch is setup correctly to receive incoming smart notifications but there is one specific smart notification not arriving, you will need to double check your Settings > Notifications menu for what is not arriving.

    Specifically, Settings > Notifications > Messages > under Options > Show Previews determines whether you receive an incoming smart notification to your watch. Since Apple iOS controls what gets pushed to your watch, I have mine set to Always (Default) here.
