Wrist Gesture Back Light Feature Unresponsive

I purchased an approach s62 today. I really want to love it but I feel the backlight gesture is a bit unresponsive. In order to make the back light illuminate I need to make what I feel is a slow pronounced gesture which doesn't feel natural.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I recently upgraded from a vivoactive 4 which was very responsive. I had sensitivity turned to high but I notice this option is missing from the s62.

Keen to hear of other user experiences and/or that of Garmin tech support

If your backlight is working otherwise but you have no backlight with the gesture feature, you may have an accelerometer sensor issue.

Make sure your watch is set to the correct wrist and double…
