I am sorry but it is out of control in iOS itself. The Apple Heath APP is not our software. We do not write it, support it, program it, make changes to it. The only thing that will impact…
When a 3rd party company behemoth like Apple keeps us intentionally out of their product intentionally by design for the purpose to draw Apple product owners further into their product…

On our end, if your activity recorded and saved on our GPS product and then successfully synced to your Garmin Connect account, all features are working properly. Any 3rd party involvement with the data, we do not push to them. They must acquire it from your Garmin Connect account with the terms and agreements you made with that company and their product that is taking the data and giving you other information from it.
Ironically, this morning I did contact Apple Product Support. Their response was that it's Garmin's responsibility as you're the 3rd party app and it's your responsibility to properly integrate with Apple Health. I have a Garmin S60 that ironically does the same thing. View the forums and you'll see others complaining about the same thing. Is my answer to return the watch?
I am sorry but it is out of control in iOS itself. The Apple Heath APP is not our software. We do not write it, support it, program it, make changes to it. The only thing that will impact your issue with the Apple Health APP comes when you very first install the Garmin Connect Mobile APP. Your iPhone will prompt you to integrate into the Apple Health APP because they want to steer you away from all other competitor products.
You can uninstall your Connect Mobile APP and install it again. Watch for the prompt, give permission.
Very frustrating that this wasn't taken more seriously. For the price of the watch, I expected better. This seems oddly familiar https://d.pr/i/eW4NRT
When a 3rd party company behemoth like Apple keeps us intentionally out of their product intentionally by design for the purpose to draw Apple product owners further into their product line, they can do that and it is out of our control.
I am sorry we are not able to more directly integrate into their Apple Health software that comes on an iPhone.
In my experiences with Garmin over many years, we will always do everything within our abilities to make things work. Unique situations come up all the time and an engineer will take the time to get back to me as needed to help customers worldwide.
You are welcome to send me a Private Message. I will gladly respond.
"In my experiences with Garmin over many years, we will always do everything within our abilities to make things work" Like all the functions that you remove/don't add to a $650 watch that sub $300 dollar watches have? (And don't blame it on that it's different categories of watches, something like the VO2 Max and SpO2 sleep tracking are "health" categories and all your watches are basically "health watches"). Or the Edit Smart Reply option, Isn't all your watches smart watches? Why should some have it and some don't?!
It doesn't matter whatsoever if the company is Microsoft, Google, or Apple. You provide a consumer product that you claim provides functionality on their product. Labeling them as 'behemoth' doesn't negate your responsibility. I, as a consumer, am frustrated as you've deemed it's my responsibility to troubleshoot it. You didn't ask once what version of Garmin Connect software I'm using, what version of IOS I'm using, or provide any semblance of moderate diagnostic testing. You just wrote it off as an "Apple issue" they deal with it. I find that level of customer service/support frustrating as in this day and age where you, Garmin, are competing in the consumer space - you need to do better.
You cited your experiences with Garmin over the years. Yet, you did not make that basic minimal level of understanding with my issue. Why is it that MapMyRun or Strava or a host of other 3rd party apps can all get this working perfectly but with your latest product (Garmin S62) it does not? Garmin Connect is, like them, also a 3rd party app. The rules and playing field are the same. So don't tell me "It's out of your control" when it's in the control of so many other smaller developers.
I am sorry you are having an issue with the Apple Health APP on your iPhone.
