Why does the heart rate monitor randomly stop ? without activity I usually discover several hours after the event that HR stops without any alert. This is annoying on such a high-end piece...
Regarding the OHR sampling rate when not in an activity being recorded, the OHR sensors power on and off for periods of time intended to optimize both battery life and OHR performance.
Thank you for your answer. This happens independently of the charge level. If this is due to battery saving aspect, it would be logical to have a choice in the set-up to force always-on.
due to lockdown, i even didn't try to send the watch back. After a perfect week with no stop at all, the OHR stopped 3 times in a row this morning due to 3 syncs with my IOS garmin connect. Monday is the first day of the week. So i suspect a software matter during syncing. The following syncs didn't renew the problem.
I think i'll wait until lockdown end to decide wether or not i send it back.
