Garmin Approach S60 will not charge (again)

Garmin Approach S60 will not charge (again). Ongoing issues with this very poor connection system since the watch was brand new. Wall charger, charge from computer, new cables (multiple), all fail within a week or two of use. And reading about this issue here at Garmin Forums and other online sites, it clear that it is a wide spread problem that has not been addressed by Garmin FOR YEARS.

  • There are many factors that can result in your Approach S60 not charging, especially after wearing the watch for multiple rounds or wearing daily.

This has been addressed extensively here in forums, and can be referenced in multiple posts where solutions have been provided, like in this post here: My Approach S60 will no longer power on. I bought a brand new Garmin Charging Data Cable but this has not helped either.

The data/charging cable compatible with your Approach S60 and multiple other current Garmin watches is proprietary to Garmin, and is manufactured by Garmin with high quality conductive materials...if you are purchasing 3rd party cables through Amazon, they are often not made with the same materials used by Garmin and are typically lower quality, and may have issues providing current adequately to charge your watch.

To receive assistance with your concern, you should contact Garmin Support to troubleshoot further if the solutions provided through my verified responses to posts similar to yours here in forums, do not result in resolving your concern with your Approach S60.

    - Thank you
