When 8 touch the map to try and get a distance to a hazard it always goes to a close up of the green. I can’t seem to get the range circle up to move it to the hazard to see its range. Anybody know what’s going on?
You can zoom in or out using the + and - icons when using the touch targeting feature after tapping the overhead full view of the hole next to the front, middle and back distances screen. If you are on the green, close to the green, or on a par 3 hole...the touch targeting feature will not offer the + or - icons to zoom in or out of sections in hole view.
Hi Garmin Cody. I’m sorry but this doesn’t work as per my listed problem. The distance measuring feature rarely works, if I touch the screen it automatically goes to the green where I can position the flag. However, getting the range circle up on a fairway to measure the distance to a hazard is not possible?
Thanks Garmin Cody however this doesn’t work when I’m on the course. As outlined in my original post I cannot get the touch targeting to work. Whenever I touch the overhead view it moves straight to the green every time where I can relocate the pin but nothing more. When I am sat at home and call up my club on the watch it works well but as soon as I am on the course the facility is lost. I am very confused by this, any ideas?
My recommendation is to record a short video of the concern using your smartphone. Upload the video through the Garnin Secure File Upload tool on the site linked here: https://supportforms.garmin.com/form/file-uploader/ Then be sure to select "Submit" on the upload tool after choosing the file and attaching to the tool on the site.
Then please let me know once the file is uploaded and I will take a look at the concern on my end to determine further solutions going forward.
