Stopped Asking how many Putts and Penalties

Hi,I have my Garmin S60 about a year and a half and have just recently done a Software update.Never had an issue until now, watch just asks for Score on hole and doesn't anymore ask how many Putts or Penalties?Stat Tracking is on as well so not sure whats going on,Any help would be greatly appreciated

  • Its my fault.

I asked in G80 forum why that device lacked the function to register penalties while the S60 had this function.

Garmin obviously fixed it by removing it from the S60 instead of adding this functionality to the G80 ;-)

Jokes aside, please fix this on both the watches and the handhelds.

  • Directly through your Approach S60, hold the middle button on the side of the watch to open the main menu from the time screen > Select "Settings" > Activities & Apps > Golf > Golf Settings > Then scroll through the menu to the section showing the "Stat Tracking" option and confirm the feature is switched on if showing "Off" in the Golf Settings menu.

If Stat Tracking is showing switched on the Golf Settings menu on your S60, then I recommend also checking the section in the menu showing "Big Numbers" and check if that feature is showing switched on > Big numbers removes the Hole Layout picture displayed next to the front, middle, and back distances during the round, and only displays the distances with larger sized numbers filling the entire screen for better visibility. The big numbers feature blocks much of the other features that display from the main distance screen during rounds of golf on the Approach S60, and is another potential cause for the stat tracking prompt not appearing anymore on the screen.

Below are links to Garmin Support to reference further info on the stat tracking features, and the concerns you mentioned with the stat tracking prompt no longer appearing at the end of each hole for putts, penalties, and fairway position to be entered.

If you continue to have concerns after checking the Stat Tracking setting on your watch, please reach out to Garmin Support and our golf experts will proceed with determining further solutions with you.
