S60 touch target often does not work properly.

hole You touch screen near ditch on the map but the screen changes to green view. Zooming out gets you back to hole view. Very frustrating as used to be able to get distance to ditch. Other times it will work as expected if you touch target at least 200 yards out from green.
Please help !

    Tapping the full layout picture of the hole next to the front/middle/back distances will display a zoomed in view of the hole, and then the touchscreen can be used to move around the map to view, and tap various sections of hole with the touch targeting feature. 

    If you are near the green, the hole view zooms in to one distance value for the middle of the green, where the full layout is not provided like it is when further out on the fairway.

    Yes this is how it used to work. A few updates ago it goes straight to middle of the green view if you’re up to about 175 yards away.  Not what we want !  There’s ditches across the fairway that we want to know the distance to. This used to work but doesn’t now. 200 yards away it does.

    I cannot get the touch targeting to work. The map always shows the green rather than the full view of the fairway. I’m constantly trying to get distances to bunkers and ditches on par 4 and 5s but all I get is a map of the green. This is very frustrating as when I had my x10 it was so simple to get these distances. I’d to be interested to know what the above answer was.

    Make sure you are not using tournament mode and make sure "Big Numbers" mode is not enabled, otherwise you can only access the green view option during a round. 

    From the screen showing the front, middle and back yardages...simply tap on the map showing the full layout of the hole, and the map will display.
