Approach S60 how to calibrate pinpointer

hello,

the pinpointer on my APPROACH S60 seems not really showing the rigth direction, so I'd like to calibrate it.

but when I use the process : parameters > compas > calibrate abd then making some 8 with the clock, it doesn't work and I just get a error message.

is there any trick I need to know as to solve this ?

thanks in advance

  • Pin pointer is primarily based on your location within the course map > in conjunction with the GPS receiver > along with the gyroscope built into the watch > the compass sensor.

The pointer will then point towards the middle of the green, unless the green view pin is manually moved by the user in reference to the where the pin is located on each hole for that day.

As long as GPS signal is adequate where you are standing on the hole, without environmental factors that can affect the signal.

The pin pointer is designed to give a direction when the green cannot be seen from your location on the hole. So this should be used in situations like blind fairways, cutting through doglegs, view obstructions from deep bunkers, etc.
