I have downloaded courses I play regularly in the hope that my watch will take less time to find them when I arrive. However it seems to take just as much time as it did before. The courses were downloaded on my Android device and have been synced to the watch. Is this normal behavior? Are the downloaded courses stored on the watch? Are any courses stored on the watch? If so, what exactly is stored on the watch: course layouts, yardages, scorecard? Am I suppose to keep the Garmin Golf app open on my phone while I'm playing to use the downloaded courses?
It seems to me that downloading has had no effect at all. I will be playing a course in the caribbean soon and I don't want to use any mobile data as it will be too expensive and I'm trying to get an understanding on what courses are stored since there's very little info on this in the manual. Thanks.
