I get the opening screen but then it seems to fail to fully load the program and reverts back to the watch dial. I have to do a factory reset and it seems to fix the problem once, but I have to do the hard reset each time I go to play golf. Is there something I'm missing?
There shouldn't be any need to reset your watch just to get the golf application on the watch to work. Please make sure the software on the watch is up to date with Garmin Express.

What current version do you see on the watch?
That is current. I would suspect the watch may have a defect. Please reach out to Golf Product Support so that they can help with getting your watch replaced.
