Probably not a coincidence that this is right about the same time my identical issues popped up.

Please sync your shot data with Garmin Express. This should push it to the app.

Isn't that pc based app? That defeats the object of the watch syncing with my phone. Why has the functionality been removed?
The functionality has not been removed. This is a troubleshooting step to allow shot data to sync to the app when it won't normally, and any future syncs over Bluetooth should work as intended.
