I recently bought a S62, initially it was asking for my club type but now doesn’t ask, even though it is set to active. I have my watch set to the right hand, could this be an issue? Otherwise I’m stumped!

If you go into the Golf Settings:
Press Menu, and select Settings > Golf Settings
We will want to double check to ensure Club Prompt is enabled.
Please also make sure the watch is up to date. You can use the steps in the support article linked below.
Update Golf Courses and Device Software on an Approach
If the issue persists, please reach out to Garmin Golf Product Support. They would be happy to assist you further.
I have the same issue... i registered all my club in the app.
Everything is on : scoring - stat tracking- club prompt - big numbers .
I play a 18 today. i had my shot recorded on the app but had to select the good club for each shoot after my 18...(hard to remember as you imagine)...
I download garmin express and connect my watch... i had a course update (2.5) but that it... can this update can cause club prompt to be non-functionnal ?
Also, a friend of mine have the same watch et he get the same problem... the watch doesnt ask to chose a club after a shoot.
For now, i already have the notification issue with no update seem coming... and now that... i'm very disapointed.
Did anyone find a solution to this? Really annoying when I can't see the yardages after a round.
Same here. My Quatix was working perfectly - prompting me to enter clubs after each shot… but the it stopped. I didn’t change any settings. It also no longer displays the distance of the shot you,ve played as you walk to it, this was a really useful feature. What,s going on?…
Sorry guys, lost track of this thread. Yes the solution is to wear the watch on your leading hand ie Left hand for right handed players and vice versa.
Similar issue on my Fenix 6. Everything is set to enable and set to on and I am wearing the watch on the correct wrist. However, it seems that on some golf courses it works fine, on others not i.e. it is golf course related which seems weird to me
First time I saw the issue I wasn’t on my home course but I’ve played my home course very recently (where the functionality all used to work well) and it has not returned. My issue doesn’t seem to be course-related.
I’m pleased that worked for you but I’m right-handed and have always worn my watch on my left wrist (lead wrist in golf swing).
Mine has stopped.worming in the last 3 weeks as well. Nothing I can do seems to fix it. Annoying.
I contacted Garmin about this a few months ago and eventually got past the numerous basic responses like “have you enabled Big Numbers?” I eventually got some confirmation that they know the software is buggy and they’re working on a fix for the Nov update. In the meantime they offered a workaround: when you’re on the golf course star up the app as usual until you can see the 1st hole; ready for play. Then power off the watch, power it up again and start the App. It should prompt you to resume the round and I find the club prompt is working again. Sometimes the shot distance counter also works for me, but not every time. It’s annoying to have to do this each time but until a full software fix arrives, it’s helpful.
