Golf Marq is not recording individual hole details and shot distances

I have just upgraded from an S20 to a Golf Marq and my first round review is showing the round scoring, but the individual holes information which show a graphic of individual shot locations and distances is missing, the previous rounds recorded on my s20 is still showing all the information, can anyone advice

  • Do you recall whether or not you were seeing the shot measurements during the round? Automatic shot detection works best when you wear the device on your leading wrist and make good contact with the ball.

  • Thanks for you’re quick reply Rob - No i don’t recall seeing shot measurements during the round, but then i don’t remember seeing that when I was using the S20, but they always showed after I uploaded and the end of the round, which they are not doing now

  • Before the device can automatically detect and measure shots, you must enable scoring. It sounds like it is since you mentioned that it did display the score for the round, but I just want to make sure.

Hold MENU, select Activities & Apps, select Golf, select Scoring and make sure it is enabled.

This is how the Auto Shot works on the Marq Golfer while playing a round of golf:

    1. While playing golf, press START.
    2. Select Measure Shot.

      Your last shot distance appears.

NOTE: The distance automatically resets when you hit the ball again, putt on the green, or move to the next hole.
    3. Press DOWN.
    4. Select Previous Shots to view all recorded shot distances.

In addition, you will want to make sure your Marq Golfer is up to date. You can do so by following the steps in the support article linked below.

Update Golf Courses and Device Software on an Approach

Your watch will also sync with Garmin Express, I would be interested to see if that will sync the missing data from the Marq Golfer to the app.

  • The enable scoring was definitely activated, i confirmed the score on each hole  and the post round results showed the scores for each hole.

i have just logged onto the measure shot function and it is saying no shots recorded.

I have logged onto connect, logged into the Marq and general, the auto update apps is selected, there doesn’t seem a facility to implement an immediate update.  Am I correct this can only be done via a Mac/Pc by downloading express and then connecting the Marq to my Mac?

  • Yes, we would need to connect the Marq to a PC or Mac computer and use Garmin Express to update and sync the Marq watch. If this is a bug, the software update may resolve it, if it is an issue with the syncing and saving of your data, doing it with Garmin Express may allow that data to display. Otherwise, we would want to investigate the issue further, if neither of those work.
