Average distance stats when chipping - S60 /CT10s

Hi Guys,

I’ve just finished my first round using my S60 very happy with it,  I also got 3 CT10 sensors as a gift and decided to put them in my wedges.

my question is, when using my wedges around the green from what I’ve seen on my recent stats, it seems to count chipping towards the average distances. For example it’s saying my gap wedge has a average of 50 yards, which is incorrect but I’ve obviously been using it around the green. Is there any way to separate full shots from chips around the green ?

Also these CT10 sensors, is there any other use for them other than the fact they automatically select the club when you pull it out ? They seem to be rather expensive if that’s the only point of them, especially when you can easily select the club you’ve hit using the watch.

  • Sadly, everything I've been able to find points to this issue. Was planning on getting a full set myself when I first got the watch but decided against it since it messes up the averages as you've pointed out. I'm sticking to entering the clubs manually so I can skip assigning a club when I chip/pitch/bump-n-run/mis-hit/etc.

IMHO they need an option post shot (like they have for club selection) that would allow specifying that it shouldn't be used in average calculation and possibly why.

  • Agree, I have purchased sensors for all clubs which isn’t cheep and think it’s not good that the system counts all shots. A friend has shot scope which you have 3 options for your average club length, one being to ignore shots outside a certain perimeter, like an 8i chip around the green.

For the money it all cost in really disappointed.
