Amazon refurbished s60 battery

Hi all, new to forums as just upgraded my S2 to a refurbished S60 bought on Amazon.

watch came needing a full charge, so plugged it in and charged it to 100%.
played a round on Friday, which was around a 4.5 hour round and came off the couse with battery at 41%.

charged it back to full overnight and played a 3.5 hour round yesterday and battery was at 55% afterwards.
given its supposed to be a 10hr battery in GPS mode I’m just wondering if this is about right or I have a watch with a faulty battery?

should I return it and purchase a brand new watch?

Hi, I would have said that was not too far off. I've had mine for three years and have always had to top up the charge to do 36 holes. I'm just upgrading to an S62 for that reason. I would reckon 4-4.5 hrs would be lee than 50% remaining and your 3.5 hr round is not too far off - maybe 55-60%.

Try making sure the display is dimmed - I use 20% and that is fine when outside.

Hi, thanks for replying.

it gives me some comfort that it’s about right, you never know with refurbished watches,

the display is at 20% brightness so I think it’s ok there.

current trying to update the software, it’s currently 7.2, yet there is at east one newer version out, but garmin express isn’t connecting to the servers!

Just as an update - 58% after a 3hr round this afternoon so you're about right.

As for the software - it should be 7.4 I think. Just check your firewall isn't blocking it.

If you're definitely ok with computers & external drives, you could install the 7.31 beta in the meantime https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=14345

Thanks interestingly enough I had the same non connectivity to the servers on my MacBook, windows 10 laptop and Pc. Frustrated i unplugged the watch and it then proceeded to download and install the 7.4 update on its own!
