Hello, you are having the same issue as the original poster? If so, you will want to press the middle button to access the menu on the watch. The up button (top right) is the action key. Normally used to start a round of golf.
If your watch is frozen for whatever reason, you can soft reset the watch by holding in that middle button until the watch turns off (about 15 seconds).
