Cannot get started

Hello. I just received my new S60. Pressing the ON (middle) button has no effect. So I have tried charging it. After an hour still nothing. Have I missed something or do I just need to be patient (and how long) ? Nothing in the instructions on this. Would appreciate any hints.

might want to try pressing the middle button for 30 seconds, release and press it again for 1 second. It works for my S60. Hope this help

Just tried that, but no luck, thanks for the tip. I assume it's a bad battery. In any case I have contacted the Garmin distributor and will send the watch back. Don't want a refund, just a watch that works.
