S60 scoring

What happens when you do the following..

settings -> apps & activities -> golf -> golf settings -> scoring -> status -> select off

See if that works for you. I keep my score each round on my watch so I won’t test this personally. 

That's what I've done to no avail, after putting out the watch insists on asking me to score the hole

Maybe Chris from Garmin has a tip or trick then. If you don’t want to wait for his comment you can always try a factory reset and starting the setup all over again. 

If that's the reset that consists of holding the menu button for 30 secs, I've done that, but haven't been back to the course to see if it had an effect.

Try this..

settings -> system -> restore defaults then select yes

That will put your watch back to factory defaults as when you took it out of the box. See what happens when you try it next.

I repeated that procedure again, but only after I removed the device from Garmin connect online and anywhere else it appeared, i.e. phone, etc.

Now it behaves as expected, if I choose not to score, it won't score.

Curious though, I played a round today and kept score for myself and my playing partner, the option for which only available after initiating the round.  Anyway, my shots weren't tracked as they usually are when I choose to keep score and record stats.

Is that a normal behavior when scoring for two players ?

To clarify, it's when I view the scorecard in Garmin golf where I expect to see shots tracked on the graphics for each hole..

This didn't happen on my last round when I decided to score my partners scores.  

Upgrade to the latest firmware, it’s supposed to correct this issue.
