The option to manually edit and change average or max distance for clubs is currently not offered by design, and the inability to make an edit to those distances instantly is not an issue with our products…
In the past two years, Garmin has made many improvements and updates to the software and features on the Approach S60. The Approach S60 was first released back in 2016, and in the past two years Garmin…
The Approach G80 offers the ability to measure and assign the club to shots:
Currently this option only available using the AutoShot and Club Prompt features that record GPS distances to the scorecard during rounds of golf.
If there are any recorded shots contributing to outlier…
Garmin is always working to innovate features for products...so there is always the possibility of new features, and improvements to the methods of managing or recording your golf data.
The club distance…
Totally agree with you. At least show which course that MAX is recorded. This is a pretty simple feature that can be done in few days for one Software engineer.
I feel like Garmin did not put much attention…
Thanks for the message, but it’s not giving any confidence to the users that it’s being taken seriously. I’m not sure what your app developers are working on, but there’s not a huge amount changing or…
Can we please get a feature to edit.. My SW now has a max distance if 275 yards because I choose wrong club
I deleted the club and them put it back
No, nothing has been added to correct max distances except editing every shot that one has taken since using the app.
Indeed. So many issues:
- The "Average" that the app/watch suggest is total garbage. If I played those distances I would be in deep trouble.
- The max distances is just stupid. Did you know that I hit my putter 519 yards! Incredible... My sand wedge 521 yards... I sees I only need one club in my bag... My best distance club is the 9 iron at an amazing 540 yards.
- Add to this that my 1 year old EPIX Gen 2 watch has sticking buttons (known issue), the CT10 sensors are starting to eat thru batteries like they are candy.
Really ready to try something else.
I’d be interested to understand what the best alternatives are that people have tried?
My experience after 5 year plying golf, check the scores in GC on pc and correct, if necessary. In the meantime I know the avg. distance of my clubs, so I very seldom check these. Also max distance I know. And if there was a club with wrong distances, I deleted and add new. In the beginning of golfing it was a help, but now not more ...
Yeah that is where my head is at. I have my distances
written down and in my head. So I only really use the watch to keep my score and get a rough idea how far away from the green I am. There must be loads of apps out that on an Apple Watch or android watch that could do those last two things? Any one tried other apps?
This is sooooo time consuming Cody. I totally understand these are user errors, but when playing in a group in match play circumstances sometimes things happen!! We are only human. But I’ve just spent over an hour deleting rounds to try an get my longest drive sorted to a correct distance. Again, I understand this is my error. But please can a simple fix be added by Garmin to allow the user to manually edit their club distances. Where is the resistance coming from?? I have also just purchased the new S70 hoping this would also allow for more accuracy, but unfortunately not. Please can you help as deleting all my rounds surely can’t be the only option! Please help me and the others in this forum! Kindest regards Craig.
