The option to manually edit and change average or max distance for clubs is currently not offered by design, and the inability to make an edit to those distances instantly is not an issue with our products…
In the past two years, Garmin has made many improvements and updates to the software and features on the Approach S60. The Approach S60 was first released back in 2016, and in the past two years Garmin…
The Approach G80 offers the ability to measure and assign the club to shots:
Currently this option only available using the AutoShot and Club Prompt features that record GPS distances to the scorecard during rounds of golf.
If there are any recorded shots contributing to outlier…
Garmin is always working to innovate features for products...so there is always the possibility of new features, and improvements to the methods of managing or recording your golf data.
The club distance…
Totally agree with you. At least show which course that MAX is recorded. This is a pretty simple feature that can be done in few days for one Software engineer.
I feel like Garmin did not put much attention…
Thanks for the message, but it’s not giving any confidence to the users that it’s being taken seriously. I’m not sure what your app developers are working on, but there’s not a huge amount changing or…
Because it happens that in for example Matchplay you don't finish a hole and start the next hole before finishing the current hole. Or the S62 jumps to the next hole by mistake. You then get out of this world Max club data. I now have on most short irons stupid Max distances
Hello Chris (in case you are still with Garmin)
has anything been done on this subject in the past 2 years ???

Hi Chris, has anything been done to "reset" the "Max distance" of a specific club?
"this has slowed considerably the last year or so." Maybe because nothing has been done? Add my name to the list. Thanks Rob.
I just bought an S62 and coming from another golf unit/app I was surpised I cannot manually enter my distances for each club on the app so when i am on a hole and the watch takes into account slope it can tell me what club is my distance etc. Such a basic feature and am surprised you cannot do this.
Rob, please add me to the list of those requesting this option.
As a software developer and golfer I think it’s absolutely bonkers that you cannot add/edit your own club distances. One normally goes to a golf range to work these things out. Once I’ve entered this data then my device could then prompt me to the right club all the time. Awesome! I cannot be bothered typing into my watch every club I use after every shot. Garmin you are being completely useless at understanding the requirements of a golfer. Please add the edit feature asap, you’re charging a fortune and you don’t offer one of the most important features.
Is the software for garmin golf open source? There are so many things I’d like to add, if I had access to code I ,Ishtar be able to make changes. But the average club issue is a problem it’s not that difficult to write in some code to either limit a max value per club or allow use to submit a max value. Or ide tidy what round had the max or min value. I’m not exactly sure where these max numbers came from but I have 200+ rounds and it’s near impossible to go through 18 holes x 200 rounds to find it. I’m getting the impression that whoever designed this app wasn’t a golfer or never used competitor products. Garmin devices are great but the user experience of the apps are horrible.
My putter's max distance is 444 yards! Awesome! Wait my Driver is also 444 Yards Max Distance! Wow!
Not really, believe me my driver max is only about 235 Max Distance and my putter? Really? 444 Yards?
We need the ability to track these Max distances and edit them. This thread is two years old and no answers to fix the problem? Really?
