S62

Garmin just has released the S62 - with many features we've been asking for since 3 years.

Example: Distances to Hazards, which many of us expected with the S60 already.

Are they going to continue to update and support the S60? Or do they expect us to dump our S60's and buy a new one (which I definitely will not do)

If they don't give the S60 a software update to add the basic features, i'm done..

First I bought S20 and I was very please with its functions. I particularly liked manual distance measurement of every stroke. Then I bought S60 which seamed to be big step forward. To my big surprise manual distance mesurement function disapeared. Instead I had to buy CT10 ( 300 EURO) to get what I already had for free in much cheaper S20. Now they introduce S62 which seams to be slightly larger (0.1 inch) S60 but equiped with better energy management and some functions which were missing in S60. I understand S62 has to be better than S60 but it looks like it is mainly software change.

Garmin, dont be stupid and dont let down your loyal users. We already gave you a lot of money. When Apple gives new soft it works on older models too why you are trying to cheat your customers.

If you dont update the S60 software and If I suppose to sell S60 to get better functions I'd rather switch to Golfshot+Apple Watch particularly Golfshot has beautifull, precise maps and audio function which TELLS you distances including dist. to hazards.

I think this is exactly the alternative: The Apple Watch improved so mucg and has leapfrogged Garmin wearable by far - also for golf.
So I expect Garmin at least to give us the distance to hazards functionality - because in their logic it's just an app.

The Garmin S62 is worth the purchase because it has many features missing in the S60 including hazard distances, virtual caddie (club recommendations) and heart rate monitor. It also has a battery life that is twice as long as the S60. I found this article that compares the Garmin S62 and S60: Garmin S62 vs S60. I hope you find it helpful.

I had been using the S60 to measure and record my distance from one place to another, but in surprise I found that it was missing. Then CT10 quickly became obsolete when they added more functions- now with this new version (S62) comes on board additional features including energy management which were previously exclusive only for larger models like 0.1 inch bigger than before!

Had a S20 and Bluetooth failed after a couple of years. Now my S62 has done the same and I don't expect any help from Garmin as they provided no help with my S20!
