New feature added recently? 9-hole courses can be played as 18-hole courses now

Hi,

I usually play on a 9-hole course and one of my biggest issues with the S60 was, that I was unable to continue the game after the first 9 holes. So this made it impossible to play 18 holes on my home course, which was really annoying during tournaments.

A few days ago I realized that the S60 asked me after hole 9 if I want to continue the game or if I want to save and quit, so the same menu came up like when you reach hole 10 on a 18-hole course.

I really appreciate this feature and it removes one of the pain points for my I have with this watch. Did anyone else recognize this as well or was it just my watch that didn't bring up the "continue game" option on a 9-hole course?

If Garmin now adds a manual shot option where I also can add putts and the flag position, then all my wishes came true.

Regards
Joe

  • Joe you can position the flag already. tap on the map to bring up the view of the green then tap on the green to move the flag to its actual position

  • Joe I use the CT10 on the putter to register putts. only with CT10 can you record putts, move the flag to its actual position then you can get how many putts you had on each hole and from which distance and can then get the 1,2,3 putt percentages

  • Hi I have just experienced this today. I had to play two 9 hole scorecards on my S60. I had no such option to carry on. Can anyone help with this? Thanks.

  • Hi all , great watch but no option to continue after 9th hole. older models have the option to continue for 10th hole to play 18 at 9 hole course !!  terrible . Thank god I still kept the box and packings!!

If the course mapping on the watch only recognizes the first 9 holes of a course, it will only let you play those 9 holes. You would need to end the round and start the next 9.

If the holes need to be combined, whether it's 18 or 27, we would need to have that reported to our cartography team. That can be done by filling out the report form linked below.

You can also make sure your watch course mapping is up to date using the steps in the support article linked below.
