Battery Consumption Ver. 7.00

Hello,

Since a few days, my Battery lose Energy at double speed. Normaly it consumes 0,30 % per Hour (~10% per Day). Now it consumes 0,60 and sometimes 1% per Hour (~20-24% a Day). So the time to reload is halved. I dont know why. But now i see here, that 7.00 is out. I looking in my S60 and yes, it is 7.00

Is this a Problem of Version 7.00? I restart the watch. But the high consumption didn't change.

Hi,

my S60 sometimes (with old firmware) lost very quick the energy. After a hard reset (not factory reset) it was back to normal. With 7.00 I do not have these experience because it's too new ...

Mine got worse too, but I don't think it's as bad as yours.

Hi,

I have now some experience with the 7.0 and battery consumption, I play every day 2x 9 hole or 1x 18 holes:

if I play 9 holes: 20%, if I play 18 holes: 40%.

I start everytime with 98% - 100%.

This is ok for me.

Hi,

a little bit deeper analysis:

the 40% (battery goes down to 60%) on 18 holes if I play alone in 3,25 h ->

Today in a competition in a flight with 3 we need 4,5 h and the battery goes down to 45%.

That is roundabout 2% per 10 min or 12% each h if GPS is used.

Since the update to version 7.00, the battery does not even hold a whole round of golf (18 holes).. Good Job !!

If you are experiencing any extra battery drain, the first thing you will need to do is remove any Connect IQ content that might be added after it came out of the box. After that point, please fully charge the Approach S60 and see if you continue to have any issues. If you do, please reach out to your local Garmin Support team members so that they can work with you directly.

After 2 weeks: All is normal now with 0,30% per Hour, after some hard resetts

Bought a garmin s60 3 weeks ago, the battery was losing a little over 20% a day sitting on my desk. Took it back to where I bought it, device was sent to Garmin SA. After two with no feedback from Garmin SA the watch was replaced by retailer. New watch is doing exactly the same thing. My question is, is it possible that 1the batteries in these devices have lost efficacy being on the shelf this long and if so should these devices not be marked down? They're still selling at 2017 prices.
