Scott114 I am sorry that you feel that way, but we are always working on improving your devices. Software version 7.00 just came available, if that does not fix what you are experiencing, please reach…
Sharing the same frustration.. May I make a suggestion?
I read here once that this forum is intended to be a platform where users communicate with eachother and a separate contact form should be used…
I share the comments of Beukit!
Trigger auto shot manually if not picked up.
Record penalties DURING playing the hole.
And especially the total strokes per hole i.so. the number of putts. (The same screen…
And what a surprise.. the brick wall again.. no reaction, no nothing... Would it help if I change my account name to Scott114 or Holger?
Maybe the lot of you actually have a plausible reason this time…
Hi Gerd,
fully agree ... at the end we are using the G60 just for getting the distance to the green or distance measurement of the last shot. This can be done by an Apple Watch plus GolfApp as soon as the battery is strong enough to provide the info in time.
How do you manage to get a filled 18-holes scorecard when you play on a physical 9-hole course?
It is not possible.
Why do I tell the watch which Tee I am using? Useless ..
Either I Cana tell the watch to start at hole 10 for a second round, or Garmin has to provide 2 courses to select (Course-xy-9hole or Course-xy-18hole).
They do that for courses like Dolomitengolf in Austria. There were 3 x 9holes and the watch offers (2+1)=3 possible combnations. But now there is a fourth course .. haha .. this new one is only offered as 9-hole course. Keeping the Garmin concept, they would have to offer (3+2+1)=6 courses to cover all combinations.
So, Garmin is for me no Golf-Watch specialist anymore .. which I have accepted now.

Hi Holger,
if I select the course on my S60 it shows 18 holes. On hole 1 the yellow tee is more behind and the tee hole one red is the same as for hole 10. Sometimes the S60 selects hole 10 instead of hole 1, so I have always to check, but this is only a quick look.
Here a link to our course, a little bit to scroll down:
https://www.golfdetongelreep.nl/golfbaan
After I have finished at hole 9, the S60 switches automatic to hole 10 to continue or if I go to the tee of hole 10 the S60 starts with hole 10. It is very seldom that I found a course with 18+9 holes, but then I can select the 18 or 9 holes course. Mostly it is a 18 holes champion chip course and a 9 holes par-3.
Regards
Gerd
Hi Gerd - thanks.
This is exactly what we need four our course - A definition of a 18 hole course with identical 1-9 an 10-18.
I requested it by filling out the course template .. but tI fear there will bei no response or change.
br Holger
thank you, see my golf site.
Well, nothing changed ... I did not get any feedback on my request to provide my physical 9-hole home course as 18 hole course as it it rated officially. Garmin Support is like a black hole.
But ok. I found the alternative that is close to what I really expect from a golf watch. I started to use my Apple Watch with the Golfshot Pro App and everything is fine. There I can do everything I want - ok .. no auto shot tracking so far, but this is useless to me as it is not used to show actual score.
So for me the time for dedicated golf watches like Garmin or TomTom or others in a price range of close to 400 EUR is over.
By the way, my new solution is supported in a perfect way: YouTube channel, homepage full of info, forum, .. and contact with the developers is highly appreciated - they listen to their customers any target to approve.
For me, I can say: „Goodby Garmin Golf Watch“
I do not like the quadratic form of the Apple watch, I like the round form of the Garmin S60 and I like the battery. Last week I played a round over 30 holes in 6,5 h and the battery was down to 25%, that's ok!
For me important is to see the distance to the flag for my club selection and the manual enter of the shots parallel to the official paper scorecard.
Yes, there are some minus points, but at the end the positive points are more, especially the good battery!
Well, I agree with you for the battery - but this is not important to me as 99% of my rounds are 18 holes or less, which is absolute no problem with Apple Watch newest generation.
As I use an Apple Watch in my daily life, Golf becomes just an application, I do not have to change my watch anymore.
I also agree with the two points that you mentioned: distance to flag (start, end green) and scorecard features (plus evtl. Statistics). But exactly here Garmin fails for my home course (you remember .. 9 holes physically - rated 18 holes). Apple asks me to play 9 or 18 and calculates stableford points correctly. S60 is not even able to let me play 18 holes ..
So, yes there is one point to improve - battery, but the rest is much more better. It compares to the static car navigation systems and the much more better systems like Google Maps. Systems without internet functionality will disappear soon. For the car and for Golf watches ;-)
So each of us is happy now. Let us enjoy golf !
