Course lay out accuracy

S60 is my first golf GPS aid so I am not sure how this is with other devices but I noticed that most golf courses that I have been playing on with my watch are not very accurately mapped. Very often when I hit a green near the edge it shows on the map that my ball landed in a bunker.

Is there a way of calibrating a golf course the layout?

No, you can not calibrate a golf course. You ought consider that GPS can have a deviation up to 10 meters/yards, depending on the signal.
But feel free to send a form to Garmin Support and ask for updating the golf courses.

If you believe it is actually an error in the golf course database, you can file a report here: https://www.garmin.com/en-US/forms/golfcourses/

While GPS's can be up to 10 meters off, that generally isn't the case out on a wide open golf course. If you notice the same errors every time, it is likely the data base that is incorrect, as you wouldn't likely get the exact same deviation from the GPS day after day. If it happens to be in a valley with steep hill sides or cliffs around, that could certainly impact the accuracy though, and make it much worse than 10 meters.

I've used the form but not sure anything has changed because if it. I've heard they try to release an updated database about 3 times a year, so it won't be quick.

The courses I play both are off about 20 yards depending on my location on a particular hole?
