S60 touch screen not working correctly during round of golf

Yesterday I played 9 holes and during the first 3 holes my S60 was not usable. The touch screen was very sensitive, I could not select anything on the watch screen, it was self selecting random items on my watch as soon as I tried to touch it.

I have this watch for over a year and I played many rounds and this had never happen before. I have couple of suspects: the day was very hot, the ambient temperature was reaching 100F but again this is not the first time I played in such hot day. Also I used C10 sensors, this is second time I used those sensors and during the first time the watch worked fine.

At some point on the 3rd hole I removed the watch from my writs and cleaned it, mainly at the bottom of the watch where it was touching my sweated hand. After that I believe the watch started working correctly. I think it was after cleaning it because at that time I gave up using my watch to concentrate on my golf that was not going well because of the watch misbehaving.

I wonder if anyone else had similar experience with their watch?
  • i have not. but i've only had mine for a couple months and played only about 10 rounds with it. ive also played in temp above 100F multiple times, even 36 holes once above 100F just a couple weeks ago when i was in Las Vegas.

i have noticed though the last couple of times i might have accidentally selected the wrong hole manually as i was checking out different menus during my round. but i think that it was my fault.
