Resetting the watch shouldn't remove the courses from the watch. If you are seeing a Cannot Unlock Maps message or No Nearby Courses message then you will want to update or reinstall the courses with Garmin Express. The links below will walk you through how to update or reinstall if you are already up to date with mapping.

After updating lets try searching for a course on the S50, you can do this at home you don't have to be at the course. If you still cannot locate courses then it maybe best to reach out to our Product Support team for further assistance. The link below will help you get into contact with them.
I finally was able to get my courses back. After numerous tries it finally reinstalled the North and South America maps . Is there a way to uninstall the Pacific and European, Middle East, Africa & Oceania maps? Don't think I will ever need them.
Unfortunately, you cannot uninstall those mapping files. Your watch has enough memory for all the regions so it won't effect anything having them on there. The watch comes preloaded with over 43,000 golf courses worldwide. We split them up into three regions and that is why you are seeing them on the watch.
