Approach S50 System Update

I just got my approach a couple months ago. At that time I setup my clubs, added my courses, and was using club tracking with high success. Loved it.

The watch was updated a few days ago. I went to play a round of golf and all my clubs were gone (just a standard list shown). Club tracking worked just fine despite the wrong clubs listed. I finished the round and ended up using the app to connect, sync, and try to fix my clubs list.

I went out for another round the next day and my clubs are in the list now! But this time, the watch mostly failed to track clubs. I rarely asked me what club I hit.

Since the new update I'm not feeling confident with my watch.

Before I go play another round, is there anything I could do to guarantee my clubs are listed AND club tracking works like before the update?

I have similar issues with the new update. Additionally my shots aren't getting recognised anymore. Played 9 holes this morning and only 1 shot in total was recognised and is showing under "view shot maps" in the app now. Very frustrating - I had more than 20 rounds prior to the update in which all shots were recognised

I have had the exact same issue only after the most recent update. Very frustrating as I’m trying to dial in distances with my cllubs

Mine seems almost 100% back to normal. It missed 2-3 shots during todays round but huge improvement for me.

Here is what I ended up doing:

On the watch -> Settings -> System -> Reset -> Delete data and Reset Settings
Removed my device (aka watch) from the iPhone Garmin golf app
On my iPhone -> Bluetooth settings -> Forget this device
Add watch back in Garmin golf app.

That worked for the most part. All my clubs synced up when i paired back with the app and clubs are being tracked now.

I have tried similar over the weekend and mine is back to normal - I think 1 shot was missed during 18 holes.
I have simply gone to golf settings on the watch and turned everything on that was off and vice versa. Then restarted the watch, back to settings turned everything off that was on and vice versa. Another restart and it does recognise my shots again. I don't know what of the above fixed it but it is working again. I did not have to reset (but I don't really know what it does and if you would lose any data if doing that), so just an alternative way you could try

Rebooted the watch before yesterdays round and all shots recognised. Hopefully that workaround will do until Garmin finds out what is wrong, but based on my previous experience of Garmin software devleopement (while I had the S42 watch), it takes months.
