Garmin Approach s50 not recording measured shots

Garmin Approach s50 has auto shot detect on and will measure a shot (after the club prompt) once I hit the golf ball. However, when I end the round, data on measured shots disappears. Does anyone else have a similar issue? Can anyone help with this?

  • The AutoShot feature will measure distances for full swing shots throughout the round, as long as score is kept, the scorecard is saved after ending the round, and then can be viewed from the Garmin Golf app once you sync the watch to the app on your smartphone to transfer the round via Bluetooth connection.

The shot data and full scorecard cannot be referenced directly from the watch and ending the round and saving the scorecard. The info must be viewed through the Garmin Golf app through sync.

On the watch, only your last round info can be viewed from the last round data field on a supported watch face, or through the Golf widget glance on the watch, accessible by swiping up on the touchscreen from the watch face.

If you continue to have concerns with the AutoShot feature on your Approach S50, please refer to the additional suggestions outlined on the Garmin Support article linked here: My Garmin Golf Watch Is Not Detecting Shots Automatically
