Pairing phone and missing PIN number

The initial pairing should be started through the Garmin Golf app after putting the S42 into pairing mode. 

In the Garmin Golf app, open the Profile tab > Select the "My Devices" option > Then select the orange "Add Device" option at the bottom of the device menu > In the "Phone" menu (if watch has been previously paired to a phone before" or the "Pair Phone" menu (if watch has never been paired to a smartphone before) > The watch will then display connection icons and is in pairing mode > Then selecting the "Approach S42" from the device list in the Garmin Golf app will allow you start the setup. 

The pairing code displays on the screen of the watch when the Garmin Golf app has found the device...and the watch is in pairing mode being seen by your smartphone. It will then randomly generate a pairing code each time if you fail to enter in the pairing code...or if the pairing times out.
