Handicap calculation

Please can Garmin provide the actual handicap calculation method (rounds x score etc) as the guidance/links provided do not answer the question. And in working out my handicap using the WHS system the Garmin number is not correct.

Secondly, is the World Handicap System (WHS) used on the Garmin app automatically or must you select it on the watch itself?

The Garmin Golf handicap system is based on the World Handicap system, and the last 10 scorecards. This is automatically calculated and displayed through either the Garmin Golf app...or when viewing through the web version of Garmin Connect.

Some devices offer the handicap scoring feature, which is not a setting tied to the handicap system calculated just from your scorecards. Handicap scoring should not be enabled by users simply wanting WHS handicap calculation from scorecards, as this is done automatically simply by keeping score, saving the round, and syncing the scorecard over to your account.
